Weird Appstore Icon Disappearance

Yesterday I plugged my iPhone into my computer for a routine sync. This time I checked off a new application in iTunes. As soon as it finished syncing, my app store icon was white. It was the same square icon, but just white. When I pressed it with my finger, it wouldn't load up. It was as though it were trying to, but then it would crash. I rebooted and ended up with no icon where the Appstore one used to be. I'm running OS 3.0 Beta 4, restriction settings are off and I don't have the categories app. Has anyone encountered a problem like this one? Any help would be appreciated.

Try to delete&re-install the app again...

Thank you for the suggestion, but it did not work. I think I'm going to have to do what I wanted to avoid, restore.
