Landscape Everything
I know a lot of people are looking forward to landscape texting, but I'm not. I didn't really think about this until about a minute ago. I've already gotten used to typing on the keyboard while the phone is in portrait mode, so it's really awkward to type in landscape mode in Safari. I'm always missing the right keys and it takes longer to type.
So I was hoping maybe there's a setting in 3.0 that allows you to lock apps in a certain orientation. I don't have the beta, so can anyone with it tell me if Apple thought to add a simple setting that locked it's stock apps' orientations? It would also be really cool if Safari wouldn't turn to landscape when I'm lying down. I have having to use it in landscape all the time when I'm lying down.Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?

If you dont like it just dont turn your phone sideways. Simple as that. You should download one of the applications that allow landscape typing and maybe if you get used to it for a little bit you will like it. I dont use it all the time but why not have it? If i feel like using it, it's there but if not i just dont turn my phone sideways. Hope this helps.

There is a plugin now for SBSettings that will stop Safari from rotating. Check Cydia.
As far as in the future, you really should try out landscape typing, once you get used to it, it really is much faster. So long, and thanks for all the fish

Wow. I just got the subscription email for this thread.
Anyways, it's not that simple. Sometimes I text while I lay down. Then you can't simply just not turn it sideways.
I don't want Apple to get rid of the landscape keyboard; I just wish they'd allow you to turn it off when you don't need it.Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?
