I want 2 use my att ipne with comcel in colombia which sells iphone /provides service

I have an ulocked iphone from att, Comcel in colombia is the iphone provider in that country, they say that i cant bring my att unlocked phone over there and use the internet. They say that it wont work. I will be able to make calls but not use the internet.

Now I know that here in the US I wont be able to use tmobiles internet because it doesnt support that platform.

But if Comcel has the platform that supports the iphone, how is it that it wouldnt work? Whats is so different in the programing of their iphone versus our iphone that prevents from me using their internet.

Can any one help me with this issue?

There is no difference, it will/should work with the proper settings.

Now, if they run only a 3g network, and you have the first-gen 2g iphone....it wont work because that iphone doesnt support 3g data. But thats the only issue.

And your iphone will work on Tmobile here with the proper settings too.

You need the APN settings for that carrier. Could prolly google em.
