iPhone keeps asking for voicemail password.

Even though the one I entered is correct. I know because I enter an incorrect password and it keeps asking. If I enter the correct one, it doesn't ask....until I restart the phone. Anybody know where this password is stored on the phone? Perhaps a permissions issue or something?

I had the same problem a while back...voicemail kept on asking for a password...visualmail didn't work at all. I called up ATT and had them reset my voicemail...it worked fine after that.

Another note, i used to have the old ATT SIM in it..had to get a new ATT SIM, which was free at any ATT store.

Goodluck.

hey i just upgraded and jailbroke 1.1.3, everything works fine except for this one problem... how was it resolved? just over the phone or did you have to get a new sim? i can access visual voicemail fine, but after a while whether i restart or not it will ask for my password again.. even tho i entereed the correct one, its a minor irritant but is there any way to fix it? thanks

Ditto, I've got the same issue... I looked in the Library folder for clues:

'_subscribed' file is empty
'Voicmail.db' file doesn't contain any password strings or information

Anyone else?

You have to call AT&T and have them reset it, that's the only way I know of to make it stop asking for the password. It's a pretty painless process to call AT&T, there is even a button to push for voicemail issues, they don't ask you any specifics about your phone, so don't worry about getting busted with a jailbroken phone

Mine was doing that too. I reseated the SIM and the problem stopped.
