My iPhone drains battery and goes to airplane mode.

My 3G is on OS Ver. 2.2.0 and is jailbroken with several apps like bosspref and intelliscreen.

Recently I have noticed a considerable drop in battery life without any change in usage.

For instance, I will completely charge the phone before I go to bed. Lay it next to my bed and in the morning the battery will be over half gone. That's with no use at all and screen off all night.

It's also going to airplane mode all by itself and I suspect the two problems are related.

Is there a program which can tell me what is running in the BG and using the battery?

SysInfoPlus is a great app to have. Though, make sure you are checking not only applications, but BG daemons (SysInfoPlus lists both).
