upgrade/downgrade

hello all, i have an iphone 3g and am on 2.2 with yellowsn0w and bootloader 5.8. can i upgrade to 2.2.1 and keep the same bootloader? i know if i do this my baseband/fimware will change and will not be able to use yellowsn0w. downbb is the way back right through cydia? i'm on windows vista but have an imac on the way?? many thanks. drew

You can use a custom Pwnage firmware to preserve your baseband when upgrading and then not have to mess with anything else.

Well yes, Pwnage is Mac only.

If you dont have one or have access to one....I know if you search around here you can find links to FW's other people have already made....and instructions on how to use them.

i can do this pwnage? as i said in my first post i have an imac on it's way. so it's best to wait i guess? you know how to get beejive working? no paid licence/blacklisted?? thanks

I would wait and use Pwnage vs. upgrading then downgrading, blah blah.

And we dont allow cracked/pirated/warez discussion of anything, ever. So forget it.
