Stuck at reboot screen and cant restore

I just jailbroke my iphone 3G running 2.2.1 with quickpwn for PC. Everything went smoothly until the last step. It rebooted but then got stuck at the apple reboot screen. I tried to restore the device but i have a passcode so itunes wont let me. please help

The problem is that I cant get past the reboot screen to enter my passcode. therefore i cant restore it

What reboot screen?
You shouldn't need your passcode to restore.
