Auto-Brightness not adjusting

I havent had a need for it before, so I never noticed it. But its seems that auto-brightness isnt working on my phone. I turn the lights off in the house, wake the phone, still bright, lights on, wake phone, same brightness. Whats going on?

Is it set to auto brightness? And also, you have to give it a minute to adjust...it doesnt happen before the screen turns on.

Its set, and I drove all the way home, and it never changed.
