k i got it to restore, now wen i turn it on, i see a screen with:
slide for emergency..
and the background is an itunes logo with a plug,
and it has the no sim card message
then a spinny wheel comes for 2 seconds, then it turns off

Sounds like the phone isnt activated and the battery is dead.

phone is not activated
and battery i am sure is charged and it is plugged in
is there any other reason it would turn off my itself?

Could be a hardware issue, really shouldnt just cut off. Especially after a clean restore.
Does it do that everytime?

yah it does
btw i was using it this afternoon and making calls it worked
right now it is restored, jus wont stay on the slide for emergency screen, shud i try to unlock?

You said in the first post that it "wasnt working well" and the "sound wasnt working"
EXPLAIN IN DETAIL.
Cause I think your having a HARDWARE issue.

the sound wasnt working, which forced me to restore
now after much avail i restored, but it turns on, goes to emergency call screen, then shuts off right away
if its a hardware problem what can i do about it?

We know its a first-gen because of your previous FW version.
And I guess you could restore again, but if it still shuts off by itself....its hardware and the only thing you can do is take it to Apple IF its still under the 1 year warranty.

it's not under warranty, and i have voided it anyways i took it apart to change the battery
so ur saying theres nothing i could do?
