One missed call shows as 8....

Hey everyone,

Just noticed something odd on my phone.

I'll have no notices of a missed call or voicemail or anything, and then if I get 1 missed call, the springboard badge on my phone will display 8.

If I get a second, it will display 9, and then 10. But for some reason its starting with the number 8.

When I actally go into the phone app, on the bottom where it says favorites and recent etc, by recent, the little badge there will say the correct number, for example 1 missed call. But the springboard icon says 8 on 1 missed call.

anyone has a clue what I might have installed thats causing that? Or anyone seen that happen?

Did you recently update/install iblacklist? In seaching some other places I found someone who updated to the new iblacklist and is also having this issue.

So, it perhaps may be related to that. I've disabled iblacklist and the issue remained. May remove it later to test and see if the issue goes away.

Try resetting your homepage layout

The same issue started happening yesterday on my phone. Removed iBlacklist today and it's no longer happening.

Yeah, I just uninstalled it to test it also and it went back to normal. Least I know what it is now. They are pretty good at fixing problems, so I'm not too worried. I just didn't know why it was happening.

Have they then fixed this problem for iBlacklist 2.3-2?? I was having the same problem with mine as well. I just use the Blacklist a lot as well as iRealSMS, but I know that it was 2.3-2 that was causing the problem, and I too seen the problems starting to occur after the iBlacklist update. I tried to use the Xsellize cracked version just to have iBlacklist, but it is not compatible with iRealSMS, its one of the older versions. So then I tried MCleaner, it was not compatible with iRealSMS either, so I don't have a blacklist app on the phone as of now. Is there any other sort of blacklist apps available for the iPhone compatible with iRealSMS?? But, if anyone knows of when, or if the developers at iBlacklist have fixed the problem please post a reply.

Also I wonder does iBlacklist have a beta repo? I have been looking for it, and if anyone may know of that repo, please post! Thx.

I've spoken to Spektro about it and he's aware of the problem. It exists in the 2.3-2 version, but should be cleared up in the next release.

FYI, new update was released 2.3-3 fixes the badge issues.
