WOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE SAVED JBDWOOD!
turn itunes on
1. turn the iphone off (i know it's hard)
2. unplug usb cable from iphone and computer
3. hold down home button for 3 seconds
KEEP HOLDING HOME BUTTON
4. plug usb cable into phone
5. plug usb cable into computer
after itunes recognizes iphone, let go of home button
Should work. Good luck

I really screwed up my iPhone, as I managed to delete my master.passwd file

I tried to get my iPhone into recovery mode, but were unable to, until I stumbled over this site and especially midgetman1106's guide
Now I finally got my iPhone into recovery mode, but when I try to restore from iTunes, I get a warning about risking to damage my iPhone because it's version 1.1.1 being restored. What do I do to get my iPhone back in shape?

http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite....8_Restore.ipsw <<<download Version 1.0.2 instead, in itunes before click Restore button HOLD the ALT key and click Restore and brower the file you just downloaded it. Woooola! You're back in business

I usually plug in my iPhone and launch iTunes. Hold down power and home keys till iTunes recognizes the phone in recovery mode, then let go of the buttons.
