connect to itunes when phone freezes

after i upgraded my 1.1.2, to 1.1.3 via the installer, i've had the connect to itunes screen after my phone freezes, and i hold home, and power together. i'm not holding it long enough to boot it into a restore mode. just long enough to restart it. then once it turns off, i let go of the buttoms so it doesn't boot into a different mode. then i push power once, it loads the apple. flickers, loads it again then the connect to the itunes screen comes on.

i just connect it to ibrickr and boot the phone, and it works every time but its kind of getting really annoying how many times i've had to it...at work, school..etc

anyone else have this problem, and figured a way to fix it?

I had the same problem with 1.1.3

Doing a reset would make the connect to itunes image come up. So I restored and started over and everything worked again. I recommend just going to 1.1.4 since it's not a "software upgrade" and it's directly put onto the phone the right way.
