Looking for input

My 1.1.1 all of a sudden started acting up. I was listening to some tunes and the phone rang threw the earphones........no biggie.....unfortunatley....when i unplugged the earplugs the speaker does not work anymore. I can only answer the phone if it's on speakerphone now.

I have tried to put in earpugs and take numerous times but no difference.

Even restored to 1.1.1..........no difference........restored to 1.1.2 and still the same........

I bought this iphone used 6 months ago and it has been great till this just happened..............

Any suggestions anyone?

Tried again trying to restore to 1.1.2..............no luck........hmmmmmmmm.....

Strange hardware problem to have.

Maybe you should restore to 1.1.4 this happened to me. i restored....there really is no benefit in having such out of date firmware.

Try Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings

I restored to 1.1.3......speaker worked.......installed my old apps........speaker stopped working.........un installed all the apps........speaker still doesn't work......tried the sest of settings but no go.....

Adjusting volume on the side does nuthing either......keeps sayong adjusting volume for earphones but they are not plugged in.......

try plugging and unplugging the earbuds several times... this might work.

Trust me that was the first thing i tried............it's even in the first post.......
