grey wifi help

Hey all, im currently unhappy, my iphone was on 2.0 firmware and i got the grey wifi, then i read about how i could use the iliberty or ziphone to fix the grey wifi problem by downgrading to 1.1.4 first , i tried both but didnt work iv tried about 50 times now for both still grey wifi, i have resetted network settings numerous times still no change, and now iv read about the dev wifi fix by the dev team ie

, iv tried this but im not too sure what to type on the termvt100 terminal exactly, so if anyone out there who knows what i need to type exactly step by step or if u know any other means that i can be able to fix this grey wifi problem that would be greatly appreciated, regards

Have you tried to upgrade to the latest firmware?

yes i hve and downgraded back to 1.1.4 and still no progress
