Air force wants me in Korea...keep my iPhone or not?

Hey everyone! The air force has deemed it neccesary to send me to korea without even thinking about how I love my iPhone. My question is should I keep my Phone for the year I am there? I can get out of my contract since I am military. Should I just sell it? Or would t be usefull enough to keep? With it not hookedup or activated is it still usefull. I do have it jailbroken. Like could I use it's wifi to make skype calls through it? Or should I just sell and by the next big thing when I get back? I look forward to hearing your suggestions.
