Let's try something different
I had a bag of parts laying around so I built a phone.
I decided to go flat black on the case and remove the chrome apple completely. This causes the outline of the apple on the case to look "shadowed" as the metal of the charge board underneath reflects upwards in a countersunk setting. It gives the apple depth in the way it looks. I kinda like it. Of course this leaves the internals vulnerable to dust and other contaminants so ....... a clear and black case over the phone and we're good to go!

Wow, very sick. Just don't bring it into an apple store :P (But, if you have the skills to do this, I doubt you even need to use the apple store for support haha)

Ya if you click the pic to make it bigger you can see the reflected apple in the lower case and it is all shadowed. It's pretty nifty and with the flat black look it's all kind of raw. I dig it.

Already did it, it's ok... decent looking. I don't really care too much for it.
