Nike on iPhone (Screenshots) [Updated 6/15/2009]
So, I made some progress with getting the Nike application to run on on the iPhone.
Let me know of your test results, as I don't have a working sensor atm.
The following steps will allow you to run Nike + iPod on your iPhone.
You will need access to a jailbroken iPod Touch 2G in order to obtain the Nike + iPod application. Alternatively you could also decrypt the iPod Touch 2G firmware, though I won't be discussing this because I'm unsure of its legality.
Assuming you have the necessary files, here's how to install the Nike+ Application on the iPhone.
1) Copy the following directories\files from your iPod Touch 2G to your iPhone, maintaining directory structure:
a) Applications\Nike
b) System\Library\SpringBoardPlugins
c) System\Library\PreferenceBundles\VictoriaSettings. bundle
d) System\Library\PrivateFrameworks\SportsTrainer.fra mework
e) System\Library\PrivateFrameworks\IAP.framework\voi ces
f) System\Library\PrivateFrameworks\IAP.framework\Tem plates
2) Add "victoria" to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/M68AP.plist using a plist editor. The entry will look like the following. Upon opening the plist file in a proper plist editor, it will become obvious where to add the entry
-Thanks Macer for this tip!<key>victoria</key>
<true/>
3) Respring your springboard. The Nike+ icon will appear on the springboard once Nike is enabled in settings.

No idea if it will work. I don't actually have a Nike kit...Last edited by JorgiBob; 06-15-2009 at 01:09 AM. Reason: updated instructions

I have a friend who has the adapter. I can't get it to recognize the iPhone as an adaptor, which may be because of a hardware limitation. I'll try the adapter tomorrow though. It's not really an app for download. If i get it to work though, I'll post a step by step guide.

That's not his Springboard, that's SBSettings from Cydia.

Thank you so much. Been waiting long time for this.
I get the nike app working, but it does not detect my receiver nor sensor it seems, neither am i promted to connect a receiver. The nike menu in preferences refuses to show up. I am using a 2g iphone. Any idea whats wrong?
EDIT:
Got the preferences working now. The requiredCapabilities class is not necsessarily under number 15, but was in my case number 14. Also, to get the title of the Nike menu, you have to add another class to the number the preference manu is. Name:label Type:String Value:Nike+
However, I still cannot get the receiver and sensor to connect.Last edited by bgum; 04-07-2009 at 09:39 AM.

If you add "victoria" to M68AP.plist you should be able to get the app on the springboard and in system preferences.
Hope this helps, I have yet to get it to pair with the sensor... although I do not have
System\Library\PrivateFrameworks\IAP.framework\voi ces
System\Library\PrivateFrameworks\IAP.framework\Tem plates
Let me know if you need me to try anything

Sorry for the late reply guys. Exams

Thanks Macer, I'll give that a try
The frameworks are found on the iPod 2G firmware, so they won't be in the iPhone. You will have to copy them over. They don't have spaces between voices and templates, for some reason it adds those spaces when I post =/
Bogum thanks as well! I have no idea why it won't detect the receiver on the iPhone 2G. I had the same problem when plugging in the receiver to my iPod 1G. =/
I'll try this stuff out and update the tutortial!Last edited by JorgiBob; 04-18-2009 at 02:42 PM.

I'm thinking it might be easier to get it to connect to bluetooth instead of the external receiver if anyone can send me
"/System/Library/PreferenceBundles/BluetoothSettings.bundle"
from the iPod Touch 2G it would be much appreciated
The other option would be to find the file that blocks the external receiver (if that exists)
