Safari forgets all of my login info for every site/logs me out as I browse it! WHY?
As the title says, I'll be browsing a site with the phone (i.e. BeeJive), and once if I end up closing the browser and go back on to BeeJive's site, it'll display the GET STARTED screen again instead of already having my info stored. Also, I'll go on facebook and as I'm going from one page to another I'll be logged out and prompted to log in to view that page. It's a pretty big hassle to have to keep logging in every single time I click a link on facebook, can someone let me know what may be going on here?

I had that problem on 1.1.3. Once I upgrade to 1.1.4 it was fixed.

Do this:
chmod 4755 /Applications/MobileSafari.app/MobileSafariGet "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

just curious as to the difference between this one and the one i posted?
also, @ stoics. just slightly offended...i wouldn't have posted it if i wasn't sure myself whether it would fix the problem or not. it fixed it for mine and that's why i felt okay to do so. plus, this is actually a fairly common issue for 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 users and has been posted in many forums

I have first tried the chmod 4755 mentioned earlier as well. the only way I could do it was to get the file using iphone pc suite, then upload it to a solaris machine chmod it there and upload it back to the phone using pc suite.
But that did not work. Do I need to do anything else after the chmod is done? I was not able to find the repo for openssh to perform the chmoed operation on the phone. thats the reason I used the pc suıte method
any help will be much appriciated

I was having the same problem and I found a solution on the Apple forums.
Here is the solution: connect to your iPhone using SSH via Terminal (or WinSCH). Then check the content of the folder /private/var/mobile/Library/Cookies.
If the files are owned by the user root, change it to mobile, then use this command:
chmod -R 777 /private/var/mobile/Library/Cookies
to change the permissions on these files.
