Small problem after downgrading back to 2.2.1
After a long night with messing around with 3.0 I finally managed to downgrade back and activate my iPhone again. Pheww.. Anyway, I tried to restore it again back in iTunes just to make sure everything is factory and I got the 1013 error. Is this easy to fix as to just deleting all the data and reinstalling iTunes? How do I fix the default restore in iTunes? Thank you so much MMi!

No no no, I got 2.2.1 working. Just when I try to restore in iTunes with 2.2.1 it still gives me a 1013.

Why are you trying to restore in iTunes if you already have 2.21 working?

Because I just wanted to restore in iTunes. To see if it all works still. Plus if I ever have problems before I want to know my restore button in iTunes works.

Then are you surprised you get an Error when your BB is now 4.20?

It means you should not have tried Beta software if you did not know what you were doing.
It has changed the BaseBand and it cannot be changed back which is why you are getting the error in iTunes. He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

You have 2.21, just with the wrong BB.
Hopefully it won't be a problem until 3.0 is a final release in June.He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

Im pretty sure you will always get that error untill 3.0 is released(not leaked) but if you are able to use your phone don't sweat it..

So my iPhone will be jacked up until June?
Would it be fixed if I jailbroke my iPhone again?
I'm just trying to get my phone back to stock. I know I should have never messed with 3.0. But at least my phone is not bricked anymore and I can still make calls. Please, any help is welcome.Last edited by Ozzyman500; 03-28-2009 at 11:45 AM.

you can never go back on BB just firmware thats why the devs say never update intel you know whats going on cuz you can mess up your phone like this, but hey as long as it works dont mess with it n you are stuck tell the official release of the 3.0 comes out so i suggest go back to 3.0 if you dont want errors if you dont mind then just stay at 2.2.1 either way you cant change your BaseBand back only forward.
once you upgrade your baseband there is no way you can go back yes you are stuck at the new baseband with the old firmware but only tell 3.0 comes outLast edited by cjgonzales1900; 03-28-2009 at 12:01 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

It all works except Safari. Meh, I don't care much about that though, I barely use it anyway. I will just keep it how it is, since IT IS working. I can still make phone calls, listen to music, and use my apps. I will update to 3.0 final in June then. Thanks so much for all your help guys!
