I about to buy from a seller who took this picture:

The box is whit? .. Does it look real or fake?

Another thing... can it be a 3g iphone with the "activate" screen? :/

to me, the space between where the screen starts + the bottom of the iPhone (the black bit) looks HUGE. way bigger than looking at my 3g by my side right now. but if that's the type of boxes that refurbs in the US come with then maybe im wrong...

and refurbed units in the UK come in brown boxes....

putting the activate screen onto that picture wouldn't be hard to do, seeing as ive never seen a fake with the activate screen.

and it has a dock with it so if it is real then it's a 2g not a 3g. 3g's do not come with docks.

so do refurbs in the US of A come in pretty white boxes then? And are 2g's still available for sale as refurbs now?

Yes, in the "US of A" refurbs come in white boxes. Apple is also still trying to get rid of refurbed 2gs.

Despite these things, the space that you were referring to struck me as odd as well (I noticed it too before I read your comment).

It looks real enough. However, because there are so many scams out there, I would urge you to use your best discretion. Consider how much the seller is charging(if its substantially less than most other sales of the same item, be veeeery cautious) and what kind of arrangement he/she tries to engage in.

@Dane-Iphone - judging by your username and the domain the pic is on you are from Denmark? But that's an American refurbished 2G iPhone? Wouldn't it be better to buy one from closer to home?
