unlocked to vodafone

hi, ive jailbroken my iphone 3g and got 2.2.1 on it. its unlocked and ive put my vodafone sim card in which works fine. only problem is when i try to use safari when not in wifi range i.e 3g it wont connect and i cant use it? anyone know why ?

If you go to

settings>general>network>cellular data network

there is space for your carriers apn, username and password

each carrier in each country uses different apn settings. Google and find the vodafone apn settings for your country then enter them and it will work fine.

Also make sure you actually have your data service active on your account if this doesn't work.
