Iphone 2g warrenty

Alright guys a few questions
1. Im in canada i know i cant get it replaced throught mail but i can ship it to a buddy and get it To apple but
2. I dont have a at&t sim or contract can i get it repaird still
3.not to sher what bootloader or anything i have can i check

1. ship it and have him/hre take it to Apple...yes
2. you don't need a sim card or contract for warranty work.
3. go to Settings/General/About/Modem Firmware<<< that's the baseband (I think that's what your talking about...??)

Per Apple's own warranty agreement, warranty is NOT dependent on activation. You can take them an iphone without a simcard in it at all and they still have to warranty it, you may have to push that point....remind them its in their warranty agreement, but they have to.

To ease the process I always tell em I had to take the simcard out and place it in my "old ATT" phone to use (Which conveniently got left in the car). All they will do is tell you the new phone wont be activated until you place the ATT simcard in it and connect to itunes. Which for us doesnt matter anyways.

Just make sure its not jailbroken....that will absolutely void everything.

thank you i have sent him that exact text explaing wher i got it from. Thanks againg guys im going to get this bad boy replaced hopefully its a unopend box and then ebay she will go. as iv been fixin to buy a 3g
