Iphone won't restore

Hello! I have a iphone first generation. I cannot get the phone to restore. The phone will not turn on with out it pluged in to the computer or the wall charger. When I plug it into the computer the apple logo comes on and it goes to the screen where there is a plug going to itunes. It comes up as in recovery mode on itunes and then it starts to restore. The plug to itunes goes away and the apple logo comes on while it is preparing to restore. Then the phone just turns off! Any ideas?

Ok I got the phone to almost a full restore. During the verifying firmware it tops and I get a 1011 error code.
