return to springboard after a call?

I was wondering if there is a way to have the phone return to springboard automatically after a call?

Here is the issue. If I browse through contacts and select one, then click the phone number to dial, after the call, the phone returns to the specific contact number list. So sometimes after a call, when putting the phone away, my finger can hit their number and call them again without me knowing. I want the phone to go back to springboard after the call.

well what you could do is after calling the person hit the home button so your back on the springboard.
then when you have finished the call you can do one of the following

-click the return to call bar at the top and end it then go to standby
-click the standby button then go back to call and end after.
