ear speaker volume

yesterday I noticed that the volume on the ear speaker is exceptionally low.
the volume decreases when the control is set but the volume at the highest point the volume is barely audiable.

the speaker at the bottom is operating normally.

Also when i press the volume control I get a pop up window as seen in the attachment.

the only thing updated as of late is irealsms.

Any ideas whats going on? Bad earpiece speaker?

That's strange. That is the quick reply window that pops up in iRealSMS when someone sends you a message. I've never seen it blank like that. I would contact someone at iReal or try uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that fixes the issue.

restore the iphone is usually the solver, and i tell alot of ppl that.

lol lol That is a new feature in iRealsms Read up on it But thats supose to happen pres the volume up twice to make it go away

Yeah, I just read about that. Here's a thread explaining it. You can turn it off in the iReal settings.

As I was getting ready to head home to spend the night restoring my phone something made me look at the ear piece again, for the 101th time.

Having installed a new invisishield which was cut incorrectly so I asked for a replacement and now ZAGG wants the measurements of my phone screen and measurements of their shooty screen protector I could help but notice.....yeah you guessed it. Dumb *** me forgot to remove the little piece of protector that covers the earpiece.

all is good now....

I am not sure if I like that irealsms feature, may take some playing with.

Yeah, I don't know if I'm a fan of it either. Seems convenient, except when you really need to use the volume button.
