Protecting the "openings" in the iPhone

hi evry1, has anything been made to protect the two openings on the iphone, the headphone opening and the charging opening at the bottom? if no then has any1 tried to make something like that. if yes from wat did u make it?

This is very important as many ppl have problems with the iphone thinking that something is plugged into it from dust. so plz reply
