yeah well im sure you'll post the results of that if all else you could always put down a nice little design or some tribal flames or somethin to make it not look so plain by either useing templates or get someone that knows how to airbrush that small.

And I know my way around an airbrush...I got a few tricks
Just gotta knock the dust off.
I've got several used 3g housings sitting around.

good deal man i'll be anticipating the results. not to be noisy or anything but where do you get all these parts cuz i've seen some 3G's go for pretty cheap on eBay becuz of simply broken glass and someone that hasn't a clue that it could be fixed. i could pick one up and make some bank to some buddies of mine cuz in Boston lots of people have J.B. iPhones but i've yet to see one that is painted or has a colored housing.

^I grab em here and there. I keep an eye out on ebay. I have done repairs for people and ended up with parts in return...I've also done several housing swaps, which is why I have a few old housings lying around.

If you've ever thought of throwing custom logos onto one I run a screenprinting shop, it would be cool to experiment on an iPhone case.

no, not stickers, this would be physically printed onto the case. I would have to experiment with the inks, probably laquer based ink would stick. never tried it, but it might yield pretty cool results. As long as I let the ink set between colors I could probably put just about anything (within reason) on there.

Wow, I have no idea how I'd price that. I would need to be careful since I'm a licensed MLB printer (obviously not licensed for printing phones) so that could get me in trouble. I'll have to try this on a few cases and see how it comes out.

Gee, all this talk of paint, I just came in from my garage. I was out prepping the front bumper of out track car for painting. temperature is going up this weekend and will be warm enough to paint. Got a few auto paint jobs under my belt and a few on tap.
Ive had a few Moto V3's apart, but not sure if I'm brave enough to dismantle the iPhone. The painting part would be a snap though.
FWIW, Ive had good results with auto paint from Automotive Touchup and Paintworld-inc.

Lol. Ive ordered from TCP before...so I grabbed some from them.
Although I dont have any "projects" in the garage ATM...besides my sportbike, I used to restore old cars.
If you can do that...you can tackle a little cell phone

At the risk of going totally off topic- two restoration projects I tackled on my daily driver '88 M5- both involve painting skills that I suppose I could apply to the iPhone casing.
M5 Hood Project
M5 Seat Project
Now if only I can figure out how to get an ipod adapter for my Alpine head unit that will work with the iphone and not require me to lose my Sirius radio tuner.
