Help tricking apple care

I have a iPhone 3g and I have a dead strip. So my idea is to borrow my friends activated sim card put it in my iPhone and try to pass it as a non unlocked iPhone. would it work any suggestions.

I have a better idea. Take the simcard out and give it to them that way.

Under Apple's own warranty agreement....warranty is NOT dependent on activation.

so i can just reverginize the phone and take the card out and bring it in

make sure you restore first to factory settings and your good to go.

Yup...if they ask say you put it into your "other" phone cause this one wasnt working.

If they push....push back and tell them you KNOW it doesnt matter.

They'll say ok...and tell you that it wont be activated until you put the simcard in and plug it into Itunes.

no. the phone is under apple care warranty...not att warranty
