wifi problem / return to apple

so out of the ordinary my iphone 2g's wifi isnt wont work most of the time. at times it could locate a wifi but wont connect and most of the time it couldnt detect at all.

i tried restoring and that didnt work. so i though my last resort would be to try to take it to apple and have it replaced, im not the original owner btw. i checked the warranty online and its expired.

question is, what are the chances that they will replace my iphone and anything that i need to do other than restore it? thanks guys...

Well, if its out of warranty....its out of warranty. They wont replace it.

Im sure they would take a look at it for you. Or offer an "out of warranty exchange", which would cost you around $200 I think.
