    Default PUK locked

Alright when i was upgrading to 2.2 my puk became locked(i think it was completing the upgrading, it says to connect to itunes). when i try and connect to iunes it says to unlock the PUK. the problem is, that i am not currently with any provider, and don't know my own phone number(smart arn't i?) so i cant simply call and get it. can i unlock and jailbreak my phone when the puk is locked? i know it has nothing to do with the phone only the sim, but would i be able to use it if it were unlocked and jailbroken? or, could i somehow use DUF mode and downgrade it? thanks for the help!

With the PUK locked, you cannot use that SIM, with the iPhone or any other. If you don't have a wireless provider, whose SIM do you have?

Well there's nothing to worry about, when you do sign up with a provider you'll be given a new SIM.
