Does anyone know why every time i call somebody my screen goes black and i cant touch it to bring my options back. Which sucks, because its really hard to do three ways or even end the call! i have to end by pressing the power button, and then when i try to go to the lockscreen it takes about 10-15 secs. can someone please help me out!

Try a restore. But it sounds like a hardware issue with the proximity sensors...I would take it to Apple.

I agree with cpjr. I don't think in any way that the iPhone should behave like that unless something is wrong with its proximity sensor.

but my iphone is jailbroken and i dont have a contract with AT&T. you think if i restore they will exchange it for me? also i play a lot of games that usually require tilting the iphone, and all my apps work perfectly, dont those games use the proximity sensor?

No. tilt functions come from the accelorameter.

If you restore....then take it to Apple. Per Apple's own warranty agreement, warranty is NOT effected by activation status.
