Iphone dead - "no sound", "no service", "no vibrate", "no wifi", "restore message"

Hi guys,

This is my first post... after spending a hole day looking for solutions.. and got no luck!

First of all, the problem:

Im trying to bring back to life an insane Iphone 2g from my friend.
He bought it already jailbroked with firmware 2.2.0...
the thing was fine.... but 2 days ago... it got insane...
first lost service, then no sound, no vibration, "restore messages".

What we have done so far....

We have restored it a bunch of times with firm 2.2.0 and 2.2.1, originals and jailbroken fws...... it all works great... then...after some time (maybe minutes, or hours) it got insane again.

We've tryed using itunes, quickpwn, windows, mac (my).. still no luck...

Im starting to belive that it aint software problem...

and i havent found anyone with the same exactly problem


one thing that came it back to sane life sometimes.. it was... leaving it charging for half hour then turning it on.... but later than.. it happens again.

Please, any thoughts?

Its a hardware issue.....most likely water damage.

So, ive asked my friend..

he didnt spit water on in... and he uses iskin on his iphone.

any thoughts?

may have over heated (not likely) or the jailbreaker/unlocker may have tried to fake factory unlock it. if u or somone else messed with the deepest files in the iphone remeber some may not restore.

Its really weird... he let it 2 days powered on.... just going there from time to time to check if it was working.... i didnt had a problem... the he as going into a trip, he was using palringo by gprs/edge... and suddelly the thing got messed up again!
