Weird Problem
After trying to connect my iphone to my car's ipod adapter (Which did not work) I continue to get these messages.
I get the message when the phone auto locks and is idle for a few minutes. When I hit the home button to turn it on I get the below message flash for a split second and the screen goes black.
I hit the home button again and all is good.
Why do I keep getting this message.
It seems like my phone thinks it is still connected to something...
here is the message that flashed:

Sounds like your connector is f'd up. Sorry dude that sucks. You could try to restore but it sound like a hardware issue to me.

This happened in my dads jeep. It means that the people who made the adapter did not pay apple a special royalty and so apple made the iphone not work with it. RESTORING WILL NOT HELP. This is not fixable. Try contacting ur car dealer (or whoever installed it into ur car) for a newer version that works with iphone.

Keep in mind that nothing is plugged into the phone when I get this message... I am more concerned about the phone not the adapter...

there were many posts around here about the same problem
and there were a few solutions but the one i remember was that try blowing into the place where u pluged in adapter and it should work its usually because if the dust that goes into it and makes it think it is still connected. if u still need help i will search the form and give u the solutions that the mods said!
