hey guys, is there a way to find out the original OTB firmware of an iphone after its been upgraded. Coz, i got an iphone from apple store in Jan 2008, & in that excitement i just got home plugged it with itunes an upgraded the firmware as itunes showed an upgrade available. So I upgraded to 1.1.3 without even looking at the original firmware it had, it was kinda stupid act, Anybody got a clue here???
I want to jailbreak & unlock now! I have never hacked into it till now. Mine is a 8GB iPhone running on original 1.1.3 fw. (i didn't upgrade to 1.1.4 yet)

It says that 3 posts above yours...

NO he stated when you are unlocked. I mean if you double click the home button when it says slide to unlock, it will bring up the mini player without unlocking the iphone. They never mentioned that in that post. This makes it nicer than having to slide to unlock, change song/volume, then re-lock .

All right, folks, post up some tips and tricks!

• Button on top of the volume buttons on the side puts you in Silent mode.
• Sometimes if you're trying to download an email with a large attachment, its already there even though it just keeps spinning... just go out to your inbox and back to the message, and the attachment shows right up.

I am having problems with pocket guitar. I am new to modmyi I I didn't know how to start a thread, but here's my problem. I install it then when I click on it, the screen goes black then to the springboard. I changed permissions and ports along with different commands. Idk what to do. Also NES Roma won't show up when I install them.

if you poke your iphone speakers with a needle it makes the speakers about 40% louder (i swear)

HERE'S A GOOD ONE...AND USEFUL!

When you receive an incoming call, use either volume buttons to mute the ringer. This way caller thinks your phone is still ringing and you're not purposely ignoring them...!

Correct, also the power button does the same - one click while the phone is ringing will silence the ringer while allowing the incoming call to continue (ringing).

Heres a little trick I discovered earlier today.... when on home screen tap on the right side just above your dock to scroll to the next home screen and if you wanna go the opposite way just tap on the left side above the dock... Enjoy....

im looking for some help. i have a 1.0.2 ver iphone and am looking to unlock it to use appsnapp apps. i have a pc. and everything i look for on the internet is just way too confusing. i saw that its really easy to install appsnap with the 1.1.1 ver iphone. and i was wondering how hard it would be to downgrade to 1.1.1 or is there an easier way???please help!!!

most of you may already know this but i didnt see it in this thread, and for people who dont read manuals (like me), this might help.

when you're in the now playing screen on your ipod, if you tap the album cover, a track meter pops up, which makes it easier to navigate thru a song. instead of having to hold the Rewind and Fast Forward buttons to get to a specific point of a song, you just drag the knob to wherever you want.

it took me so long to figure this out and the clicking on the headphone speaker "trick".

Not sure if anyone knows but I found a really sweet feature on the headsets that come with the iPhone!!!

Ok, so if you're on a call, squeeze the mic on the headset and it'll hold or double click to hang up the call!! Also, double clicking while listening to music will skip to the next track!! A single click will pause/start the track!! How kewl is that!?!?!

Ok, if you already knew, you're awesome, but for those of us who just figured it out, it's like having sex for the first time all over again....haha
