you can view photos in landscape by turning ur phone 90 degrees to the side

You wont be able to hide the SMS notification but you can hide the content of SMS you receive.

You can deactivate that by going to Settings-General-Passcode Lock-Show SMS Preview.

When your iPhone battery is completely dead (won't turn on anymore or have the battery sign showing)

Place in Microwave for 5 seconds and it will recharge for about 3-4 minutes of use =)

You get 5 - 10 minutes if you sprinkle a little salt on it first!

This might be common knowledge, but when viewing videos on You Tube or Ipod that don't fill in the whole screen you can make it fill in the whole screen. What you do is tap the screen once to get rid of the controls and then double tap to zoom in and fill in the entire screen. Do it repeatedly and it will keep zooming in and out.
