home button fail

im not sure if its a hardware or software issue but my home button stopped working on my 2g iphone. any ideas?

Have you dropped your phone recently? Are you sure it won't press even if you give it some extra pressure?

Only suggestion I can give you is try a restore if you can't find a better solution to see if it is just a software issue... Anyone else have any better ideas?

Yeah, probably hardware. A drop or moisture damage, or just hardware failure.

^As All said, try a restore for the heck of it.

If its still under the 1 year warranty and it does NOT have any water damage, Apple should warranty it.
