Need Help...Please

so i recently had to restore my iphone and now everytime I try to re jailbreak it, it stops on the black screen with the apple...what do I do, I really want to jailbreak it again

it's an original 8 GB iphone Version 2.1 (5F136)
firmware is 0.4.05.04_G

what are you using to jailbreak? why arent you using 2.2? OS?

I used iliberty and ziphone...i dont know how to get 2.2....plus when I try to download the new itunes thing it doesnt let me, it says something about an error

use this tutorial. ziphone is not for 2.x firmware. you need to use quickpwn. try following this tutorial to do it right and see where that gets you

Find a copy of 2.2 and d/l it...Put the phone in dfu mode and shift click restore and find the 2.2 f/w that you d/l.

your gonna need at least 20 minutes if this is your first time doing it. i would make sure you have time dedicated to do this. i usually give an hour when i do my restores

Well you say you where having trouble d/l the f/w....and there or links for 2.2 f/w all over this forum. Put the phone in dfu mode and use itunes to installed the 2.2 f/w to the phone...and then use quickpwn to jailbreak....

your gonna need to do a full restore. im pretty sure of it. other than that you will need to seek advice from the member cpjr maybe (i know he knows some cool tips with advanced jailbreak options) but other than that i would go for the restore

^^^DFU means Device Firmware Update.

On a mac what is your OS X? You will need a copy of the 2.2 on your computer.
