why do you push people not to learn how to ssh?
Diskaid is great, but that's not what he asked for.

Because it does the same thing in the end. That's like me telling someone a shortcut to get to work so he doesn't have to go the extra distance. I'm not saying not to learn but rather a easier way. If he wants to then mess around with WinSCP or another program then that's up to him.
I used WinSCP prior to DiskAid and I haven't went back. It wasn't an off topic response to the OPs post. He asked about a program and I told him.Android user suffering from iPhone withdraw.

Ok, I'll tell you what I've used.
I've used Winscp. Basically, ssh is going in and looking at the folders and files on your Iphone, similar to looking at Windows Explorer. If there are any files you need to change manually, or any folders you'd like to add, you can use ssh to do it.
It is something handy to have in case something horrible happens when installing something, and the only way to delete it is through ssh.
In Cydia, you can install OpenSSH, that preps your phone and allows you to "get in". Then, download Winscp. Or the other program mentioned, never tried it, but will in a minute. After, you go into General, Settings, and look at the number that your dsl modem uses to connect to your Iphone. You put that number in the "host" box. Username is root, and password is "alpine". Click connect, and it should open in a minute and then you can see all your folders and files.

Thanks all that responded to my question. I,m an old geek who is totally wrapped up in my iphone. Not sure how I lived without it.
I am amazed how much I have learned here from some great people who are willing to share the wealth. Thanks again
