omg my iphone= crap!

i have a 3 week old fresh outta the box brand new jb+ unlocked 2.2
3g iphone

now my main apps are not working and freezing up all my other apps!

heres what i mean.

this is what happened 3hours ago...
1- unlock phone to make a phone call
2-after conversation i hang up and lock the screen.
3- check email or play with some other app
4- be happy!

now this is what happens now

1-unlock phone and try to make phone call.
2- press the phone icon, but now it doesnt load
3- i can still switch pages and rearrange icons around
4- cant lock the screen cuz that button seems to have freeze
5- no other app will load, but can still navigate around the SB and arrange my icons



i dont think any1 is gonna understand my problem because the store guy didnt! and offers me $300 for my phone if i give him the box and everything...(sounds pretty shady)


im having a feeling this cant be fixed or understood by pple so this phone maybe going out the window =(

something similar happened to me. all i did was re-sync my apps at itunes. try doing that first if your apps still doesnt work try doing a hard restart by pressing both power button(button on top of the iphone) and the sleep button(big round button on front) at the same time until the iphone turns off.

Don't worry, there are alot of people here willing to help you. And if you ever need to restore your iphone, dont worry about you apps from appstore. You can download them again for free.

all my apps do work but its just the main apps like phone, safari and email that screws up my entire phone causing me to do a home+lock screen restart

so every time i need to make a phone call, check email, lock screen to save energy i have to restart the whole phone to do any of those...each restarts takes like 5 minutes

has it just recently gone funny? what have you installed since it worked fine? (not tried installing an app called kate have you by any chance?)

if all else fails just do a full restore from itunes, and you should be back to a brand new iphone that needs re-jailbreaking.

You should do a full restore as DavC says. Though it is possible to replace these apps pasting a fresh copy on top of it, it would still be better to completely restore your iphone to its original state since this apps deals with the iphone OS system. It might not be just the apps that are screwed up but the iphone OS itself.

I have tried restoring -> jailbreaking -> activating -> unlocking -> bricking and then back to restoring my iphone several time to tell you that as long as you follow the guide provided here, your iphone is safe and will survive the worst software issue you can imagine.

Just an advise, do not sell your iphone for $300 if its just a software issue. It can be restored, fix, modded and with a little patience it would be better than how apple intended it to be.

ahh thank you all i have fixed my problem!!

it was caused by the Myspace App from app store!!

so all i had to do was delete it and restart and boom!

everything working like it should (i think) lol!
