Search function on iphone 3g?

Hey guys i just joined this forum and i would like to ask u guys.. remember in the old ipods there will be a "Search" function which u can type the name of the song and u can immediately find it right?.. but i cannot seem to find this function on the iphone 3g or ipod touch 1st gen.. and help?.. if there's no way, suggest an app which can do this.. I dun use 3G network..

i am not too sure about the iPod search but there is an App Called SEARCH on Cydia which is used for searching in iPhone
