If the phone is not responding when you touch the screen.....
Then your digitizer is broken.

Is it under warranty. If so, and there is no evidence that the phone has been dropped, they will do it for free.

Open Winscp, click on root on the left side. Then click Applications> preferences> replace the general.plist file with the one you downloaded.
RapidShare: Easy Filehosting
Now unplug iphone click Settings> General>Touch and reduce the senstivity to 0.0 gives you the highest touch sensitivity.
I hope it works...
*On the other hand,Apple will help you with the broken digitizer as long as there is no waterdamage. If Apple detects waterdamage, they will not cover it,but you can try to get a screen digitizer on on Ebay...

Well I bought the phone off of ebay. I didn't know it had a extended warranty until I called Apple. So they sent me a new phone for free.

seandiego are you serious!? You made a thread on your issue and I answered it. Don't post your problems in another persons thread. It's unrelated and freaking annoying.

gQstatus,
Yes I am serious. Are you? Although I appreciate your help, you need to relax a bit buddy. Stop taking all these made up internet rules to heart. It's the freakin internet! No one owns it. There are no laws that state I can't post here. Having Internet Etiquette? Really? Thats Like winning an Internet fight. Winning one of those is like winning a medal in the special olympics. I was trying to get help here because no one was responding to my help requests. Nothing wrong with that. I ended up getting the answer I needed. The bonus was that I got to annoy a few people with out even trying. Haha. Just kidding. Relax!
So go out there and win your gold medal! And thanks for your help!
Love
Me!

Actually 2.2 is a bit better than 2.1. For one in the app store you can choose to upgrade all instead of one at a time. That along seems worth it. Plus you get Google Street View, the home button brings you back to your first page on the spring board and other little refinements. I would recommend it. Plus, thanks to a user on here named gQstatus, I learned about a program called DiskAid that allows disk access to the phone with no fuss no muss. So, I never got SSH access but I am fine!
Winning a fight on the internet is like winning a medal in the Special Olympics.
At the end of the day, you're still a retard.

Don't flood your problems on another persons thread. That person is asking for help on HIS issue. There are rules to THIS site by the people who OWN it.
