iPhone Problem, What would you do?
I have an Phone that I found on the street that I now have unlocked, activated, and jailbroken. It's running 2.2 and it has a dead screen where the four, five, and six keys are on the dialer. I don't know who's phone it is either. Two questions. What should I do with it. Is there any way I can get it replaced or fixed? Either that or should I just sell it. It has all the box with the manuals (my parents both have iPhones and they throw away their boxes and and manuals so I keep them), plays cracked appstore apps, and is hacked.

there will be no talk or support of cracked apps just to let you know. as far as the phone goes you can check and see if its eligable for replacement by going to apples support website and typing in the serial number of the device to see what support is there

Sorry my internets has been down but I'm back now. cricketlang I will go to the website and see what support is availible, DJSMITH it is a 2g, StealthBravo there's no way I'll look for the owner. Some thing is better than nothing right?
Actually I quit. I've had it with the phone. I hate it any it gives me headaches. How much should I sell it for? Any suggestions keeping in mind what it has in it. Or anyone here want to buy it?Last edited by rdragona; 01-21-2009 at 04:13 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Yeah, you know you would be devastated if you lost your iphone and someone else found it and kept it for themself. Try finding the owner.

!!!???
Dude, wow - just WOW! Are you for real?
Right before Xmas, I found an LG phone on the sidewalk outside my house. (No idea what model it was - blue with a slideout keyboard - either Verizon or Sprint provider.) The battery was drained in it, so I was unable to find the owner's number on it. I took it to work to see if anyone had a charger. Nope.
So, I took it to my local ATT retail store. One of the guys I know there plugged it into an LG charger, let it charge up for a minute, and then searched the phone until he found a number to call. We found the owner, and the ATT guy had it overnighted to her as she was vacationing in another state. Again remember - it wasn't even an ATT phone or service, and they still went the extra mile to help get it to its rightful owner.
There should be a way to trace the SN on the iPhone back to the original owner. Why not do the right thing and drop by YOUR local ATT store. Most of the folks there are pretty darned willing to be good samaritans, too.
JMO.
