Copy and paste finally here?

I refreshed my cydia just now and found a pretty neat surprise

Clippy Beta: Copy and paste!

So far it's working for me. Basically it looks like it adds a copy and paste bar into the character keyboard, the one with numbers and such. It seems like you can copy and paste from any input in any app.

Even though you can only copy and paste from from input sources, the potential looks great!

yes been testing it out it works through the keyboard so anywhere u can type u can copy paste with the up button

I wish that you could turn it on/off. If you are just trying to position the cursor it automatically highlights the text. So, you have to get lucky by tapping to get the cursor in the right spot.

For anyone that CAN'T get this to work who has Intelliscreen; make sure you to have it checked off on the performance boost list. I finally got mine to work that way.

Good tip, but the funny thing is I had to actually turn performance boost on for it to work. As soon I turn it off it will stop working. Go figure :-)

hopefully a sbsettings toggle will come out for it. I have had much success with it tho.

Looks like a nice idea, but the buttons are too tall. I don't have enough screen as it is. These need to be trimmed down in height, I don't care how wide they are.

No, its called constructive criticism. If he kept quiet, how would the devs know what people like/dont like, and therefore further improve the app?

seems to work ok for me. Very helpful app. As someone mentioned it does highlight while trying to place the cursor but this has an added benefit, its great for editing larger sections of text. If you let the text highlight then press another key, it works just like highlighing a selection on your computer in that it will replace teh highlighted section with the new input.

I had the same thought, in a large note it works perfect.

As someone else had said the copy and paste bar seems a little big, it blocks out a single line/bottom input in the native SMS app.

Maybe they could add a whole other keyboard? Like click the character button twice to be taken to copy and paste.

Moving on......

it'll develop into something for sure once they find a way to give us our screen back. We can't afford to lose any more screen space.
