Hello
I've been using street view a lot on my iphone (unlocked, 2.2)and it works fine except when I try and look up somewhere in the UK, even big cities like London....I just get the normal map, no street view icon...how is this possible considering street view exists all over Europe? I mean, I can see loads of places in Italy, France, Germany and of course US but...no UK ???
Anyone else has the same problem?

Thanks! Good website! But what is the problem with Street View though??? Seems very strange that you can see anywhere else but the UK !!!!

I found this:It’s been announced that Google Street View is coming to the UK!
The first cities in the UK to be included as part of Google Street View will be London, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh – Google cars equipped will the special cameras for this task have been out and about in these areas in the past few months, so it’s expected that the images captured will be implemented in Google Street View for the UK by spring 2009.

how strange! It's usually the other way round! Things usually happen in the UK first and then in the rest of Europe!! Oh well....thanks for your help!!!

Went live yesterday in the UK.
limited areas but it's great where they have it

There are some places in the US that still are not on Street View. My neighborhood is fully covered but I have friends in NJ and Ohio that aren't.

If you zoom out so you can see the whole of the UK (or USA or whatever country you are interested in) and drag the Golden man over the map, areas that are covered are in blue. If it's not in blue it's not covered. Same at more detailed levels - if a road has a blue border when you drag the golden man over it then it's covered.
Most of the USA is covered, only some major cities in the UK are at the moment.
