Default 3G WIFI problem. How original...huh?

Just curious about anyone else having wifi problems with the 3G. Mine has been spotty lately. It'll pick up fine for a bout 30 minutes from my Linksys wrt54g, but then drop. Under preferences it shows it is connected, but then if I disable wifi then re enable it, the router doesn't show. Usually have to reboot the phone to get it to detect my router. Sort of had the same trouble getting my first gen connected too back in the day, but was able to resolve it. Wondering if I need to do a warranty exchange (good till 19 AUG 09). Have about 2 1/2 hour travel time to AUstin or Dallas to do the Apple Store thing. Or can my local AT&T store warranty exchange it?

if you can exchange it for free always try that first

next make sure your router isnt bad or goin bad

also some settings in your router may be affecting your connection
make sure the lease time is set to forever.
