    Default iPhone RAM help

I have been having problems with low system memory lately, and the iRealSMS update with backgrounding didn't help. Does anyone know a good way to save RAM?

Disable any 3rd party apps you have running in the background such as Summerboard/Winterboard.

iPhone comes with 128MB of RAM and 11MB of that total is most likely provided for integrated graphics.Native apps. such as dialer&ipod can remain ruunning even though you have closed them. Also safari is memory eater. So don't use much some apps. which run in background&also you can use app store app. 'Free Memory' to free up 20 mb of runtime memory...

Lol I know all these things. I was hoping there was an easy fix for it, like maybe an app that makes the phone and iPod not run in the background. Does anyone know of anything like that?

^Not really. Make sure you completely close an app when your done (by holding down the home button until the app closes, instead if just "clicking" it).

Apps that stay alive in the background are designed to do so for a reason. If you kill them it will most likely cause the app to not function properly. So the only thing you can really do is disable/uninstall the app completely.

    download sbsettings from cydia.

It has a 'processes' app inside it. You can use that to view/delete running processes

I've got SBSettings, and I can't figure out how to get to the process manager. How do you do it?

    *EDIT* Figured it out.

In the top screen, push the screen down with one finger. It appears de sbstinggs menu. You will see the processes icon.
