I have an iPhone 2g with a jailbroken 2.0.1 firmware.....everything was cool until a week ago when suddenly the native sms app stopped working i cannot receiv, send or read any aof my messages, I open the application and the keyboard comes up to weite a new message, and if I try to send one it just goes back to the home screen....dont know what to do, any advice will be very appreciated!

restore to 2.2FW

*Go to settings,general then click reset 'all content and settings'.It will erase all your media files and your SMS will work again... maybe someoone sent you a MMS or a weird "quote" text that has different characters which iPhone wont accept it.
*OR,# Delete sms.db
/var/root/Library/SMS/sms.db
then restart iphone...
