How do I backup my apps on my computer from my friends iphone?

I bought somebodys iphone used and I want the apps that are on the phone before I restore it and wipe it clean. Because it is not linkd to the computer I am using so it wants to erase the data and sync from my computer. How do I get those apps off the phone to put on my other iphone?

Aps, music, videos, whether purchased or not (Ugg) are linked to an iTunes account. Keeps pirates at bay but also highly restrict honest users who never buy using iTunes. That my biggest beef with Apple!!!!
