If you can reach the red/white dot and it's red, Take a q-tip, soak it in bleach and lightly and methodically rub it till it turns white again. This can take up to 20-30 minutes to do, so go slowly, if you over soak it, it can come off, if it does soak it in the bleach directly (swirling occasionally to remove the red dye, and then proceed to reattach it to the phone using a very very small amount of glue from a glue stick. I've done this before and it's been succesfull every time on phones from motorola, nokia, and recently an iphone 3g.
