iphone wifi problems?

Hey I have a 2G 8GB iphone. I unlocked 2.2 via quickpwn and everything works good. As of now, I am not paying for internet on my plan, my main reason for unlocking. So I typed in my home password for wifi. It gave me the wifi symbol but once I clicked safari that symbol left and an E just showed up, but it still says im connected in settings. The weird thing is I'm not paying for any internet on this ATT account and web pages still load... Would like some help so I'm not running up my bill and so my wifi works.

Wifi comes from via your isp(internet service provider.Its not an AT&T service.
Edge&3G is serviced from your gsm operator(at&t).So you have not to pay for internet connection to at&t.
For wifi,check your wifi&router settings...

I know all of that...

What i was saying is the iphone won't stay connceted to my wifi connection. Right when i click safari the WIFI symbol at the top of the iphone screen changes to an E. Therefore showing me it's no longer using wifi. Yet all web pages still load... and i'm not paying for internet through my ATT account.

Ok,you say,although you have not edge account with at&t but you can use it.Say thanks to at&t for this!!!But still you have a wifi problem with your iphone...

Ha yeah, I don't want to use it all the time because I don't want to run up my bill if so. And I think the wifi problem deals with something and the unlocking. The guy that had this phone before me had no problem with wifi.

Does anyone else have any information on this problem i'm having? Like if i'm really on the edge network and going to get charged for it? or what i can do to fix wifi problem?

Do a DFU mode restore, and then quickpwn. Try it again, and see if it works any better.

i just recently upadate my iphone 2g with 2.2 version tru a qucik pwn i have tmobile carrier. When i try catch a exiting wifi unsecure there is amessage cant connect so phone coming back on edege. ?? Do you know whats going on??

restore your network setting and reset your wifi configration?
